The Bible
We believe that the Bible is God breathed and that as 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that all God's people may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." We believe that the Bible is God's blueprint for living life as a follower of Jesus Christ, and it is our source for faith and practice.
God
We believe in the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That this triune God is the one God, YHWH, revealed to us in the Old and New Testaments.
Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only path to salvation, that He is our Lord and Savior, that He was born of the Virgin Mary, that He died on a cross for our sins, that on the third day He was resurrected from the dead, that He ascended to be at His Father's right hand, and that He lives forevermore and will come again to fully establish His kingdom. We believe that Jesus is the only way to the Father, that through His death we our relationship with God has been restored, and that the goal of Christian life is to through the power of the Holy Spirit become more like Christ each day.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. That he is equal with both the Father and the Son, and that He dwells within every person who takes Jesus as Lord and Savior. The work of the Holy Spirit is to empower us as believers to do the work of God including, helping others come to know Jesus, establishing Kingdom justice on the earth, feed the poor, healing the sick, and reaching out to those whom society has marginalized.
The Church
We believe that the the Church is Christ's Body on the earth, and that as His Church we are to be about our Father's work. Not only are we to worship Him, but we are to engage the community around us meeting the needs of those we come in contact with and living out both the Great Commands and the Great Commission.
Our Response
We believe that our response to Christ's work in us is to go out and spread his gospel, and to serve those who society has marginalized.
